6 Fast but Amazing Months

It is hard to believe that it will already be mine and Jon's 6 month anniversary this coming Monday on the 28th! Seriously I feel like it was just yesterday that we got married. We have had some great times being married together and I will tell of a couple memories.

I remember the first time coming home to our apartment after our honey moon. What an experience this was. Jon was telling me of our next door neighbors on our way to our apartment and the way he was describing them to me, had me believing that he was making it up just to try to tease me about where we chose to live. He was telling me that he met our neighbors but he was not sure if we had two girl neighbors, or if one of them was supposed to be a boy. He went on to saying that he thought that one was a boy but "he" wore girl clothes and painted his toenails and fingernails like a girl would and also had long hair. If that was not bad enough, he told me that this "boy" only had one eye but does not cover the hole in his head up with a patch and looks like a hippy. Then he told me that the other person was a girl, but very hefty and toothless. I just laughed off the descriptions, but when we got to the apartment, we walked up the stairs and our neighbors were outside and to my dismay... he was telling the truth about them! I almost started to cry because everything that Jon had told me of our neighbors was true! We live next to a one eyed cross dresser who lives with a toothless lady who both need a lesson in hygiene. They smoke like a chimney and every day I head "his" annoying smokers hack. So nasty! What have we gotten ourselves into is what went through my mind upon seeing them.

We have not had any problems with them for the past 6 months other than hearing his annoying hacking all the time, and them always wanting to have a conversation with us when we are leaving or coming into the apartment so that is good. Good ol Sarah, and Annette. lol

About a month after being part of our ward, we were called to be Cub scout leaders over the Webelo group. I gotta tell you, working with these boys is fun but trying some nights. For the most part we have a lot of fun with the boys. They make me laugh a lot and they are all really smart, but they are young and have so much energy that it is hard to keep their minds working on one project for an hour every Wednesday! One night they were so rambunctious that I told them that if they did not calm down they were going to have to run laps around the church. To my surprise, they all wanted to do it. So they ran laps. I have to remember to do that every time before we do our activities! It made it so much easier to teach them! Gotta love those boys. They are always such an adventure.

Since we have been married, we have probably only spent about 4 or 5 weekends here in Tucson. We spend many weekends traveling to friends and families houses so that we could get away from Tucson and the crazy people that live in it.  I constantly see drunk people walking down the street trying to show off their "stunts" to the passing cars. Some stunts are so rediculus that you can not help but laugh at them. One guy looked so drunk and he was waiting at an intersection to walk across the street and to keep him entertained while waiting, he decided to throw this rock up in the air and catch it. Well he did a really good job at throwing the rock up, but when it came to catching it, his percentage was 0%. He dropped every one although he did put up a good but very funny effort to catch it.

Jon and I have had so many good weekends though spending time with family and we are thankful that they still put up with us and letting us visit them all the time. I am becoming a better cowboys wife by learning how to ride horses and round up cattle when we go to different peoples ranches over the weekend. I still have a LONG way to go but I am working on it.

Life is so great being married to Jon! I love him with all my heart and am hoping that this statement will hold true after this thanksgiving break up in Bagdad, Arizona. We are going out to his families ranch to do some work and from the stories I have heard, it is not an easy place to be. The temperature high is going to be 65 and the two nights that we are staying there is going to be 40 degrees with no heater. I am just glad that my parents have taught me how to camp before and it is not anything new to me. But again, I hope that I will still love Jon with all my heart after this weekend. JK I know I will, and I look forward to all the fun times we have in the future together!

Day 6- A Song to Match Your Mood

Believe by Josh Groban. I know Thanksgiving has not officially passed yet, but I am way into the Christmas feeling now. Only 2 more days to go before I can officially listen to Christmas music without feeling guilty about it. YAY! I just love the feeling of Christmas... being able to cuddle up into blankets as you drink hot chocolate and listen to Christmas music in front of the Christmas tree! Perfect!
