Black and Blue

As I sit here pondering, I wonder how it is even possible that this klutz has not hurt herself worse than she has. This first week of being back in Thatcher has made me get so many bruises and it is all due to one little incident. It was so stupid but funny too.

Wednesday I was trying to hang some picture frames up on the wall and also my magnet board up so that I can decorate the wall. Well something went wrong. No something went TERRIBLY wrong!

Here I am hanging up the magnet board by myself and get it all hooked to the wall and wiggle it around a little once it was up to make sure it was not going to fall. Well the wiggling did not make it move so I thought I was safe with that. Thinking I was ok I started banging some other nails into the wall for another picture and as I was minding my own business, something comes and smacks me in the face. It hit my forehead first and I was stupid and looked up and it hit my nose really hard then fell down my arm and landed on the bed. This all happened in 3 split seconds. I had no idea what came falling down on me till I got over the shock of the impact on my head and the pain vanished slowly. I looked up and saw that the magnet board was no longer on the wall and looked down and saw it was on the bed by my knees. I asked myself “self, how did that end up down there by your knees?” While I was understanding how it all happened and blinking in unbelief that I just got hit in the head with a big heavy board, my room mate Kassidi came running in from the kitchen and asked me if the board feel on me. I just looked at her still a little dazed and shook my head yes and started feeling the pain not only on my forehead but my nose and arm. I jumped off my bed and went to the bathroom and saw this huge red spot on my head and my nose was a little red. It felt like it was bleeding but thank goodness that was not the case.

I put that activity away for the night but tried again the next day and I got that pain back up on the wall and I got it up there good. It is not coming down this time.... I hope it doesn't at least. Cross your fingers please.

But now I have an invisible bruise on my nose and my arm is now a nice blue and green color from the fall. I better find some better luck soon while I am here or else I may come home with a broken bone or something. It is just destined.

Oh and one more short dumb story. Today in my math class we were writing a word problem down and I had to spell the word egg and something was not registering through my mind well today and I ended up spelling egg like "ayge." Geez! college is supposed to make me smarter not dumber.
