HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOCELYN!

One whole year ago, we expanded our family from 2 to 3 people. This little Jocelyn Johanna Brimhall has been the biggest blessing one parent can ever have. Every day she teaches me that love has no boundaries. My love for her grows and grows every day. I often think "how in the world can I love you more than I already do today" but sure enough the next day she finds a way to show me that I do love her more. When Jon and I got married we dedicated the song "Then" by Brad Paisley as our song. The chorus goes as follows "Now you're my whole life, Now you're my whole world. I just can't believe the way I feel about you girl. Like a river meets the sea stronger than its ever been. We've come so far since that day and I thought I loved you then." Those words right there mean everything to me and I am so happy that I can have a husband and daughter that mean so much to me.

Here are some pictures of our family a year later. Jocelyne has grown into such a great one year old. She was born at 6 pounds 5 oz and is now 21 pounds. She is definitely a mini me when it comes to her build. She is tall and skinny and the doctors always comment on how she probably will never have the baby rolls many babies have because of this. Nothing wrong with having a skinny baby as long as they are well fed and happy :) and trust me this girl definitely is well fed. She eats just like her daddy who always has a good appetite for food. Other than her build she looks nothing like me. The rest of her is definitely her daddy.

Jocelyn is definitely a daddy's girl. It is super fun to see how excited she gets when Jon comes waking through the door after work. She drops everything she is doing and "speed crawls" to him with the biggest smile on her face. They are the best when they play with each other. Jocelyn is constantly laughing and screaming in delight for a good 20 minutes without any silence. Her favorite game to play is peek a boo but she loves to play peek a boo the most when she is on our bed and we hide off the side of the bed.

Jocelyn LOVES bananas, cheese, hot dogs, fruit snacks, and daddys go gurts. Every time Jon gets a go gurt out he makes sure to get 2 because he knows that as soon as he opens it Jocelyn will be right at his side begging for a bite (or more like the whole go gurt). Jocelyn loves to play with our dogs (by play I mean poke their noses and eyes, and pull on their ears and chops) it is such a good thing that we have 3 fantastic and very mellow dogs. Her recent new favorite thing to do with the dogs is put her face right up to their face with her mouth open begging them to lick her in the mouth. SO GROSS I know. KIDS! She also loves playing with our Kitties but she is a little too rough with them since she is used to playing with the dogs. She recently has found that she loves to play in the dogs water bowls when we are outside.

She knows how to wave hello/bye, high five, clap, cover her own eyes when we play peek a boo, dancing, slowly blink her eyes when she is trying to be cute, throwing the ball for the dogs to chase, or throwing the ball for herself to chase, reading books, going on walks, giving loves (hugs) and blowing kisses. When you ask her to give you a kiss she greets you with a great big open mouth kiss.

We love this girl so much and look forward to seeing how much she grows this next year.

Her great grandma Ralph made her this cake so she could play in it.

And I had to force her to put her hand into the cake because all she did was look at it. Even when her hand was in the cake she did not know what to do and chose not to play with it. DARN!

Bubba and Grandma Rose gave her this Tricycle that has 4 stages to it. eventually she will be able to ride it by herself. And she LOVES the Tricycle! As you can see below.

"Hey guys Check out my new wheels"

Great Grandma Ralph gave her these stacking rings which she loves playing with too.

Allison gave Jocelyn her first set of car keys!!!! Don't worry they are toy keys that sing. Jocelyn loves to dance along with the songs. Other presents she got but I don't have pictures of are a pink dress with white polka dots from her great aunt norma, some squeezable apple sauce packets from Amanda and Cody, a cute shape shifter barn from her aunt and uncle Beccy and Golden, a super cute tutu skirt from Emma and Grant, and a dress from her Grandma and Grandpa Brimhall.

I made these "ice cream cone" cupcakes for Jocelyn's birthday party in Utah but they kinda failed miserably and I was not very happy. These cones above were the better of the cones we had but a ton of them started to lean over and wilt. I was so upset that they didn't work out because I was dreaming of these amazing looking cupcakes so I decided I was determined to succeed. So I had another small birthday party in Bagdad for friends and family to come and remade the cupcakes. and WALA!!!!!! THEY WORKED!!!!!!

Jocelyn's birthday was super fun to celebrate. Thank you friends and Family for Celebrating with us!!

11 months old

11 months old! my oh my how time flies! and Jon tries to make time fly by faster by teaching my baby how to drive already. I thought I had 16 years before she learned but I guess she learned at 11 months.
Look at her concentrating on the road like a pro. We thought it was  funny that she wanted to honk the horn after Jon taught her what it did. She was not strong enough to push the horn so she would just hit the steering wheel till Jon pressed it for her.
Jocelyn was crying one day and we found her stuck under the table looking up. We forgot we put her binky on the table so she could not figure out how to get it. We thought it was funny so we just had to be the parents who pull out their camera first before we fix her dilemma.
Her new favorite thing to do is to help me with the dishes. I just need to teach her that clean dishes don't go on the floor and then she will be a real help.
just a cute video of how happy she is.
Her Grandma Rose taught her how to head bunt people. She loves doing it but as she is getting older she starts to bunt heads harder. I think we will have to retire this trick pretty soon. No one wants goose egg on their foreheads.
She loves loves loves eating cheese. But she gets it all over her and the floor when she eats it. Makes for a hard snack to clean up.

Jocelyn was in a goofy mood so we took goofy slefies together. It was fun.

Every time I smack my lips she tries to do the same thing. This is her attempt at snacking her lips. How she gets her bottom lip to do this I have no clue. She is so Talented!

So 4th of July we went to Prescott for a rodeo. When we stopped at a gas station to fill up we looked over and saw this beauty. I don't know how she was even running. Bullet holes everywhere, Tires looking like they are on their last tread, rust everywhere...How crazy
Jocelyn and her daddy dressed up for the 4th of july rodeo!
We thought she would enjoy seeing all the animals at the rodeo but she cared more about looking at all the people in the stands. At the end of the rodeo she decided she wanted to fall asleep using my stomach as her pillow. I guess it is a good thing I still have some stomach left over from being pregnant with her so I was nice and soft pillow.
I finally found all the parts of this toy my friend bought Jocelyn. She loves playing in it. I only wish we could have put it up sooner for her to enjoy. Why do you always seem to loose things when you are moving.
We went over to some friends house and I looked over at Jocelyn as we were talking and saw her sitting like this. I guess she was a little bored?
We seriously have the best dogs. Jocelyn loves them and they love her. They let her do anything with them and they are always so patient. Who could ask for anything more than dogs that are patient with your baby.

Learning learning learning Jocelyn is 10 months

I have been slacking on writing any new posts lately because my old computer is super slow and frustrating to do anything with. So I ordered a new computer and so a new computer= a new post! YAY!

Jocelyn has been doing a lot of things these last two months. Lets see if I can remember everything she has been doing...

Her aunt Amanda came to visit from Utah as well as her husband my grandparents and my aunt. Jocelyn had a lot of fun with Amanda. She grew 5 feet while they were there ; )
She learned how to pull herself up and stand with the help of furniture. The first time I saw her standing was when I walked into her room when she woke up in the morning. This is what I walked in to find. A happy standing baby.
She has also learned how to stick her hand into her snack container and shove a whole handful of snacks into her mouth. She eats just like her daddy. If your mouth is not full, then your bite was not big enough.
And since she has learned how to stand up this is all she does lately. Standing....
and pulling herself up to stand
Maybe the most silly thing she learned is how to make her hand make noise as she drags it across her books. She sat here and made this sound for 20 mins. She thought she was pretty smart. Don't you love how she smacks the book as hard as she does to make sure the sound will happen?
I actually learned here that Jocelyn thinks random things are funny like her aunt Tori saying bang. She also thinks the word bacon, piggy, and the phrase "Penny come here" are the funniest sayings. The thing she thinks is the funniest that we get a laugh at with no fail is letting her watch the Dogs jump up and then out of the truck.
She learned that Cheese is finger licking good!
And I learned that the dogs are all very patient with her as she pokes at their eyes, ears, and noses and also plays with their tags.
I guess she has a bad streak in her though because she ended up in baby jail at my parents house because she just doesn't learn that closing the baby gate will lock her out. I guess there are still some things she has to learn.

8 and 9 month

so I have been busy with moving and have not been able to update my blog. So here is goes for the past 2 months.

Jocelyn is 8 months old here and this is her Easter dress. She was the cutest baby at church that day I have to say.
Just out on a walk. Any time she is fussy I put her in the stroller and walk around. By the end of the walk she is all smiles and much happier. Oh how much I love this baby so much.
The Saturday before Easter there was an Easter egg hunt for all the kids in the neighborhood put on by the church. Grandma Rose is pushing Jocelyn to the party.

All she wanted to do was eat the egg. I had to coax her into putting it into the basket.

Doesn't it look so yummy?
I just love how happy she is to go to church on Sundays!

9 MONTH OLD PICTURE BELOW. She is growing so fast and I am loving the personality she has. She is always so calm. Even when we keep her up way past her bedtime. She smiles all the time and always loves to rough house with me and her daddy. She beams when her dad gets home from work because she knows it is time for some rough housing. She claps her hands every time she is happy or has done something she wants me to acknowledge. She is such a goober and I love it.
Tori Graduated this month! Yay! My baby sister is now in college!
Jocelyn Clapping
And here are some cute pictures Tori Captured of her in her lady bug outfit. I call her my little ladybug all the time so this outfit fits her well.

We all got a really big laugh at this picture below. She is learning the downward facing dog position in Yoga it looks like.
OH and we moved in with Jon this month as well. Here is the house after it has been decorated. I painted the front room blue and I love it!

Here is my room below. We will have an actual bed in a little while but I love my wall. When the light hits it just right the silver stripes shine since there is glitter in the paint. It was supposed to make it look metallic but it didn't quite work out like we wanted it to.
Jocelyns room is painted green

Oh and I got a brand new stove. I LOVE it!

Jocelyn thinks it is so funny to get into all the movies and make a mess. Naughty naughty.
This is her rough housing with Daddy. She loves to smother him in kisses. Her kisses are more like getting a bath of saliva. But you gotta love those baby kisses anyways.
