Shake It Off and Rub Some Dirt In It!

Holy cow! This past weekend was such an amazing weekend!! I get teary eyed because I had so much fun and the girls that were here that made it even more fun are not here any more. What am I talking about you ask.... MAGGIE, KYLEE AND AMI CAME HERE TO THATCHER TO VISIT ME!! I say that is all caps because I was so excied when they were here!! These girls are the best girls in the world. I love them so much just like they were my own sisters! They were planning on visiting me earlier but those plans fell to the way side because other things came up. But they planned another visit here and this one actually worked out.

So friday morning I woke up and after a very long week of school that felt like a whole month of school, it was finally the day that they all came down. I was so excited when I woke up that morning I could bardly keep myself from bouncing from one wall the the next in excitement. I just had to hold that excitment in till they got here and that was another 12 hours away. So I just went to my classes and waited patiently like a grown up girl (looking at my clock every minute and bouncing my feet up and down under the desk hoping for the time to pass faster) until my last class of the day. The day seemed to drag on and on so when my last class ended it was three o'clock and I still had to wait 3 more hours before they got there. So I resorted to cleaning my apartment so that I would not go completly insane waiting for them in the window like a dog. If I were a dog my tail would have been wagging a hundred or so miles an hour because I was so excited. So I got the cleaning done and still had about an hour and a half before they got here and I had noting to do so I just had to wait it out. Sooner than I knew it I got a call from Ami telling me that they made it to Thatcher and just needed to find my apartment. So I darted out of my apartment and waited on the street for them to finally turn onto the street and I jumped in the car and gave them all a great big hug. They were finally here and I was the happiest person ever!! After embracing them for a while I finally found my manners and invited them into my apartment and showed them around and allowed them to relieve their poor bladders. Then it was off to have some fun. At 6:30, we all piled into my car and headed to Taco Bell for dinner and it was so yummy. I loved it because on one of the packets of sauce it said, "Ahh we meet again.". I loved that packet because we were all together again and it felt so so good.
Anyways after talking and eating for a little bit we went over to my really good friend Jons work. He wanted me to bring them by so that he can meet my fabulous friends that I had been telling him about non stop for a week. He let us in and we talked with him for a little while and I am pretty sure he thought we had all gone crazy because we were talking so fast because of our excitement. But he really liked meeting them. So after bugging him, we ran off to the only good store here, wally world (aka wallmart) and shopped for grocerys for the weekend. We planned our breakfast for the morning which was pancakes and bacon, then sunday morning we were just going to have cereal, then our lunches were grilled cheese sandwhiches and sunday we had a baked potato bar, then for dinner saturday night we had fajitas, and Maggies home made salsa. We all ate like queens and it was fun for me to make everyone food because it gets boring making food for just yourself. I just wish the potatoes worked better. I think we over cooked them in the microwave because they were kinda hard but we put them in for 5 minutes thinking that it would get softer. But oh well they were still good once you got past the crunch. :D Sorry about the tangent back to the story...
We bought our grocerys then headed back to my apartment and put everything away and Jon came over after work and we all just sat and talked and made up for lost time. I was happy to be filled in with what the girls had been doing since the last time I saw them. Jon eventually left then we all got ready for bed and I dont remember what time it was when we went to bed. But Kylee slept in my bed with me and it was so comfortable and she said that my bed was the most comfortable bed ever. Yay my bed! The next morning I woke up at 8 and got ready really quick then went out to the kitchen and started to make pancakes. Ami woke up when I came out to the living room area and so she helped me make breakfast by making the wonderful bacon. She said that she did an aweful job making it but I think not. It was the yummiest bacon ever. Maggie woke up while we were making breakfast but Kylee was still snoozing so I told Ami and Maggie to go doggy pile Kylee and I took a picture of them doing so. It was great. She did not expect that to happen. She got up then and we all ate our yummy breakfast and Jon came over to eat some with us because we had extras. I had to leave for an hour or so for an orchestra practice because I had a concert that night so Jon walked me over and then he went back to my apartment and hung out with the girls while I twittled my fingers. When I came back they were all ready and we piled in Jons truck with Jessica Wiggins my room mate and he drove us to frye mesa.

I think everyone was holding on to what ever they could grab onto on our way up to frye mesa. Jon was the craziest driver on our way up. We would hit these bumps in the road that would make us stand up in and hit our heads on the roof of the car and everyone in the back were piled up on top of each other and their faces plastered to the windows. It was quite a funny sight to see when I looked back. But some miracle was placed upon us and we arrived at frye mesa in one piece. Jons ear drums might have been dammaged because of all the screaming girls but other than that all was good. We went over to the dam of frye mesa and climbed down the staris behind it to this really really pretty water fall. I would have never guessed someting this pretty was behind the dam. I loved it. Here are some picture of it.

After being down there for a while we hiked back up to the top and sat on the dam and relaxed for a while. Then Jon brought his gun up there and I got to shoot it. It was the first time I had ever fired a real gun before. I think he said it was a shot gun. I was so nervous to shoot it but he was right there with me to make sure everything was ok. He made sure the gun was placed up against my arm like it was supposed to be and I was afraid that when I shot it I would be pushed backwards but he said he would catch me if I did get pushed. So after gathering the guts I fired the gun and oh my lanta it was SO loud!! I think I lost some hearing when I shot it. But it was so cool. I cant wait to shoot another one. After we packed up the gun we went on a little hike around the river and hiked down to a little canyon to another waterfall. It was so pretty. This waterfall was one where we could slide down but it was WAY too cold outside and the water was even colder so we did not do that. We just hung out there and talked. After a million pictures, we all decided it was time to go and we hiked back to the car. Jon brought some Sardines and has been trying to get me to eat one for a while now so he said that the ticket to get home was for me to eat one. So what did I do...I...ate...a...sardine. Well half of one. It was better than I thought it would be. The smell is just the hard part to get over. Oh come on you dont believe me...I have proof. here you go...

So I ate it then we were on our way home. When we got home, I made fajitas with the help from the girls and we ate that and maggies home made salsa. The yummiest dinner ever!! Then Maggie did my hair for the concert I was in that night. She did one amazing job at it. I loved how beautiful it was. She is such a good hair dresser. I got into my black dress after and headed over to the concert. The group came over a little later so that they could watch the performace. It was fun to play it but not as much fun as we had after the concert.

I went home to change and get some hiking shoes back on and Jon took all of us, minus Jessica this time, over to this place called Red Knoll. It is a mountain/big rock and we played with fire for a little wile. We threw roman cocktails and set fire to a big mound of junk then we realized it was some of the football players mound of junk so we thought it would be best to high tail it out of there before we got in trouble. So we drove around the mountain to the other side. When we got to the other side, we started to rock climb and we did that in the dark with just 3 flashlights with 5 girls. So I was being led blindly by Jon and it was really fun. We got to the top of the mountain and we had the most perfect view of the stars so we all sat/layed on the ground and watched them. I was the first to spot a shooting star that night. I love being out in the dark where no lights are to look at the stars. They are so pretty. So it got really really cold sitting there so we got up and were making our way back and we decided to go to this place called the heart of the mountain. We squeezed past this little hole and went into the middle of a cave like thing and when we all turned our lights off and looked up there was an opening at the top of the cave that was in the shape of a heart that we could look at the night sky through. It was beautiful and I wish I had my camera to take a picture of it. Unfortunaltly I did not so just immagine that scene in your mind. After standing in awe for a while we decided to do some rock climbing out of the cave. Jon stayed on the bottom and helped us up for the first step and I got to the top first and Maggie was half way up while Kylee started coming up. But when Maggie got half way up I heard this yelling and then a thump thump and it was Kylee screamin because she lost her hand placement and fell from the rock. She fell on Jon first then flew over his shoulder and then hit thr ground six feel below. I was so scared about what had happened I just started praying that she was ok as soon as I heard the thump of her body hitting the ground. Luckly the only dammage done was a bruise on her back and she got the wind knocked out of her. But after she fell she did not want to climb out that way so when Jon made sure she was ok he climbed up to where I was standing with Maggie and showed us the way to the car and we told him we could make it there and that he should go back to Kylee and Ami and help them get through the mountain. Me and Maggie said a prayer before we started walking alone through the desert area so that we could be guided and that Kylee Ami and Jon could make it back to the car safely too. So off we go and we realize that the flashlight we were left with was really dull and it was so difficult to see. Maggie then reached for her phone and used its light to help us see and that light was much brighter than the flaslight that we had. It was amazing. Just when me and Maggie thought we were completly lost we found the fence that Jon said there was and we followed that to the car. We were so happy to make it to the car but we were still scared for the other three. Me and Maggie sat on the hood of the truck while we waited and after a pretty good conversation we heard Jon running to the car and we all jumped in and drove over to where he left Kylee and Ami and picked them up. So we all made it to the car alive thank goodness. It was a big adventure. Ami while she was hiking back with Kylee and Jon decided to do a ninja move and roll down the mountain and she scraped up her leg but other than that we were all ok. So now we have all taken the "Shake it off and rub some dirt in it" saying as our motto for the weekend.

All this crazyness has led to so many good memories. I know they were not very funny memories at the time but all that happened brought us closer together as friends. I am just so happy that these girls are my best friends. I could not ask for any other better friends than this bunch. We really are soul sisters. We all went home talked about our experiences that day and then all conked out and woke up the next morning to go to church. It was a great meeting. We came home made Lunch and made home made oreo's and before I knew it, it was time for them to leave. It was so sad saying good bye to them. I missed them the second they shut the door and were driving off. I know though that they will be my friends forever and I will see them again soon. It was a great weekend and I am so happy I have friends that will stand by me and help me through every storm that blows my way. Thank you girls for the great weekend!!

Man that was a long blog. I was excited to read it though. I just have a million things to say but one of them are... WHAT WERE YOU THINKING!!!! You ate a sardine???? HOly smokes. You surprise me more and more everyday. What is next? I can't believe you did that. As I saw the prgression of the event I was cringing and I was like, "Don't do it don't do it....I can't believe she is going to do it....She really did it." Congrats.
