So Amanda has kept bugging me ever since I have come home from school telling me that I need to update my blog because I have not done that in a long time. It is now time to wipe off the dust and let you know what is going on in my life. I am sorry for not updating it but I have been super busy. But I am not sure many people look at the blog anyway so I am sure you have not missed me too much haha. For those of you who do like to know about my life, I will be happy to update you with what has been happening.
The first item of business to announce is that I am officially done with my first year of college and passed all my classes!! I was so happy about that especially this semester. The classes were very demanding and I was trying to ballance a boyfriend and school so I had a blast trying to do that. Luckly my ballancing worked out and I did really well in all my classes. Sadly though, since school is over for the summer I had to leave my boyfriend behind in Thatcher till I come back to school. This separation has not been easy and it has only been four days so far. Bleh! I still have 3 months to go. I will survive it though only because I know I will still love him just as much as I do when I am with him all the time.
Second item of business is that I have a couple jobs lined up for the summer and next semester for school! I am SUPER EXCITED FOR THESE JOBS!!!! The job I have for the summer is a job through respite. I will be working with a 3 year old girl who is in my ward. She is the cutest little girl and I will be with her for 16 hours each week. I am excited to become a really good friend with her as these next 12 weeks progress. I will also be working back at Salernos which is the restaurant I stopped working at when I went off to school. I am excited to work with these jobs over the summer!
Next semester for school I start a job working with another 3 year boy. I have yet to meet him but the lady that is assigning me to work with him said he is the cutest thing ever. So I am excited to work with him. This job with him is a little different than working with the little girl over the summer. This boy has a disability and my job with him is to help him work towards goals he has in his IEP. For example if he can not walk more than 5 feet because of a weak leg, we will work with him little by little and by the end of a time period he would need to be able to walk 7 feet if that was our goal. I am excited to help out these kids.
This past week, I have just been hanging out with Amanda as much as possible because she is leaving me for a year and a half. She has been called on a mission to serve in Kentucky if you did not know already and she leaves June 2nd. She has told me that this week she feels like we are mission companions because we have done so many things throughout the days together. I love to spend time with my best friend and am going to be super sad when she leaves. Haha I almost cried just saying that. The airport is going to be fun when I cry. I will make sure to pack about 12 packets of tissues. It will be so good for Amanda and I am so happy she is excited to go on this mission to serve the Lord. She has a great spirit that illuminates the room when she walks in and there are people in Kentucky that just need her there to show them the truth and happiness of this church. She truly is an amazing sister and I am glad I get to always be with her through eternity.
I wish her luck and want her to know that I love her so much. Amanda I will miss our "Classic" moments together. We will definatly have many more of them when you come back. I can not wait to hear all the stories that you will have to tell when you come back. :D Good Skill! I love you!
